“Wow!! We got breakfast on the way to Mammoth Cave, this place is great!! Real southern cooking! The eggs are salted and peppered perfectly, the biscuits and gravy are full of sausage, and the soft fluffy pancake was bigger than our heads! Fantastic! Breakfast is only on Saturday mornings though, so watch out!”

“Drove about 45 mins to try this place. Best onion rings I've ever had EVER. Everything was awesome, amazing burgers. Took a little time to get our food but it's made fresh & worth the wait. Everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be back.”

“I probably would have driven by if I hadn't been looking for it because it's not well marked, but I'm glad I found it. This is a small, comfortable unique restaurant with excellent home cooked food. The prices and portions were good. The barbecue and Rojo potatoes were delicious.”

“Wow! Best onions rings ever. Big Tex was 1 lbs of meat and stacked high. Great tasting. I suggest the Hart Burger. 1/2 lb of meat with alot of trimmings. Country fried steak with the green beans were out of this world. Daughter got Manhattan roast beef with Mac and cheese. Large portions and we left none. Highly recommended.”

“Delicious home cooked meals with generous portions. I had the Catfish & Shrimp Special and it came with two sides. The light fish coating was delicious and the onion rings and mashed potatoes were outstanding. The wife's chicken strips were also lightly coated and 2nd best we've ever eaten.”

“First of all, It was a hard decision choosing the Pork Tenderloin sandwich of one of those amazing burgers, but I’m glad I did. It’s so hard to find pork tenderloin sandwich at all and this one is amazing. Huge piece, tender, I had it fried and paired it with the home made Mac and cheese. My wife had the catfish. The piece was so big, it made the plate look small. She loved it. A must go to when you’re in this area code.”

“The food was delicious. I had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. The guys had the Texas Sized Chicken Fried Steak. It was HUGE! The meat was tender. The breading was crunchy and the gravy was great! Others in our group had chicken tenders and said they were really good too. Our server was super sweet and welcoming. We're not from the area but were made to feel like we were regulars! There was really good live music too.”

“Our first time here and definitely didn't disappoint. Catfish tasted like it was caught this afternoon and prepared just for me, the burger with fried jalapeños was PHENOMENAL, Chicken and waffles were cooked to perfection and if you like sweet tea, get it you definitely won't be disappointed!”

The food was out of this world—from the perfectly grilled burgers and crispy fries/onion rings to the incredible chicken-fried steak and potatoes smothered in gravy. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and full of flavor. If you're passing through the area, do yourself a favor and stop in!”

“After our cave tour, we had lunch at 5 Broke Girls. The food was very tasty and loved the iced tea . We did half sweet, half regular, and they served it in a small pitcher. We each got our own pitcher. Hubby ordered the Hamburger Steak. For his sides, he ordered fried okra, pinto beans, and cornbread. Cornbread was moist and slightly sweet, and the okra was fried just right. I ordered the Hart burger with everything on it with a side of fries. Burger was huge, and the fires were delicious.”
