A Little Place That Changed Everything

At 5 Broke Girls, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are made fresh to order with bold homestyle flavor and a Texas twist. This cozy Main Street spot in Horse Cave, Kentucky is known for hearty comfort food, welcoming service, and burgers that quickly became some of the most talked-about in the state. Owner Jackie Kulaga personally cooks every plate herself, bringing a homemade touch and small-town charm to every meal served.

I grew up in Texas and ate at places just like this. Man the memories it brought back! The food is so good, The Heart Burger I would vote as the best, Chicken and Waffles made In The shape of Texas great look, sweet tea served in a tea pitcher’s loved it.

So glad we stopped here on our road trip back to Texas. Home style cooking . Had the lunch special chicken and dumplings, hubby had their huge hamburger. Tea comes in your own personal pitcher- just add the straw. Food was definitely home made. For desert had one of their many desert choices- chose the caramel apple dump cake since it's fall ya'll. Met the owner who is from Texas- and menu, friendliness, and atmosphere speak to that. Wish we lived closer- it would be a weekly visit.

What a wonderful place. My family has been here many times, and when I came into town from Minnesota, we brought 7 of us together. The waitress was wonderful, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing and fun. Will make this a stop every time I'm in town.

BEST PATTY MELT u will ever have in your life 50/10. 25 star restaurant … my fried okra was the sweet tea was good and came in cute little pitcher ….. the pork chop was delicious 🤤 everything was amazing thank you !!!! Now yall see grab a bite to eat cause they worth the drive.
